Festival for Playful Public Spaces

Know Your Place

A game where status is everything. Know your place, and move accordingly. Social climbing is unacceptable.

You find yourself pitched at the centre of a rigid and ridiculous social system over which you must triumph. Your social position dictates how you navigate your way; the upper class will progress with ease, whilst the poorer man will have to work harder...

Inspired by The Two Ronnies and ongoing public frustration with politicians of all parties, Know Your Place is a playful look at class, entitlement and social mobility.

Do you know your place?

The Larks (UK)

The Larks are pervasive game makers based in Manchester, UK. We combine the spectacle of theatre with the agency of play in unexpected blends of gaming, interactivity and the theatrical. Our work uses game structures to tell stories, and we are passionate about engaging with 'the now'. We take our games to festivals all over Europe, as well as to museums, theatres, squares and streets. larkslogo
